Morzine is quickly becoming a favourite
resort amongst foreign visitors mainly due its proximity to Geneva
airport. People have lived in Morzine for centuries giving the town
an authentic, historical feel. It has much more to offer than your
average ski resort. The architecture is typical of the Haute Savoie,
wooden chalets with slate tile roofs and stone foundations, often
displaying the red and white flag of the region. In summer their
balconies are bedecked with flowers.
Although Morzine
is proud of its heritage and rural roots it has adapted through
the years to visitors needs and is now host to a wide range of sporting
and cultural events and activities.
